Planet Parade

Back on February 28th, a rare, and special astronomical event occurred. The alignment of the seven planets, also known as a planet parade. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to see this occur with my own eyes as the light pollution here was quite strong. That and a mix of cloudy days caused me to miss this event. This doesn't stop me from writing about it though! If you want to read about the scientific details behind it, go to the two bars at the top of the page and then head to the section called Fact Based. This is quite an exciting event for me since it's probably the most significant one since I developed this interest. The only thing that came close was the total solar eclipse, one that my school didn't let us visit. I seem to be really good at missing significant events like this one. But even without seeing them, events like these are amazing aren't they? It feels like an plot point from a fantasy novel or game, like some sort of portal or omen of sorts. I can faintly remember this type of plot point in different fantasy worlds that I've visited over the years. I do hope that this is a positive omen. One thing about omens and prophecy's and the like, they will only happen if we work hard to achieve what it says. At least I'll have something to look forward to. In 2040, this event should occur again. Just thinking about it, 15 years is quite long for any human but when you consider the planets, the stars, the universe, 15 years is just a blink of an eye. I wonder what I would've experienced by then or who I'd be... Will I have seen other astronomical sights? Maybe eclipses or comets? I hope that one day, I'll remember this moment, the excitement, the curiosity, and even the disappointment.
I hope one day, I can see the parade in person. To stand below the very planets I'm observing.
Until then, I'll keep looking upwards.
